VOTE MAMA ENDORSES SHANEL ROBINSON
NEW YORK — Vote Mama, the first PAC focused solely on electing Democratic moms, today announced its endorsement of Shanel Robinson running for re-election as Somerset County Commissioner.
“Shanel Robinson has the experience and dedication that her community deserves. Under her leadership, the County has invested millions in education and helped working families make it through the pandemic. I am so honored to support Shanel Robinson for her re-election to Somerset County Commissioner Director, and I am confident she will continue to ensure that all of her neighbors can thrive,” said Liuba Grechen Shirley, Vote Mama Founder & CEO.
“As a mother and grandmother running for office, what better way to be of service to others than being in public office? Not only do we need more seats at the table, we need louder voices in the room!” said Shanel Robinson, candidate for Somerset County Commissioner.
Women, particularly moms of young children, face unique challenges when running for office. Vote Mama seeks to increase the political power of moms by stepping in to disrupt the systems that hold women back through direct financial support, mentorship, and endorsements. As with all of Vote Mama’s endorsed candidates, Shanel Robinson supports family-friendly legislation and is committed to making this country a better place to raise children.
Vote Mama endorses, funds, and trains Democratic moms running for office up and down the ballot and across the country. Vote Mama is increasing the political power of mothers by providing the tools and training to break down the systemic barriers that hold women and mothers back. Since launching in 2019, over 50 Vote Mama candidates have gone on to win their races.
