Youth Voices Urge Legislators to Advance the NJ Green Amendment

Youth leaders across New Jersey are urging their legislators to make history and advance a New Jersey Green Amendment, a constitutional environmental rights amendment that would recognize and protect the rights to pure water, clean air, a stable climate and healthy environments for all people. It also protects and acknowledges these rights as held by future generations. Organized by Green Amendments For The Generations (GAFTG), a virtual press conference will be held to elevate New Jersey’s future leaders and showcase the stories behind their support of the New Jersey Green Amendment.

Who: Youth leaders from Berkeley Heights, Franklin, Fort Lee, Jersey City, Middlesex Borough, Mountain Lakes, Parsippany, Robbinsville, West Orange, and Wyckoff including representatives from New Jersey Student Sustainability Coalition and Bye Bye Plastic Bags NJ; joined by Maya van Rossum, Founder of Green Amendments For The Generations and the Delaware Riverkeeper.
