Damiano Team and Little Falls Democratic Committee Chairman Endorse John Bartlett for Congress for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District in Democratic Primary
WAYNE, NJ – Today the Little Falls Democratic Committee Chairman and the Mayor James Damiano Team announced their endorsement of John Bartlett for Congress in the 11th District special Democratic primary election.
“John has committed his career to public service and is a reliable and effective representative for our shared constituents,” said Mayor James Belford Damiano. “From roadway safety to parks and open space funding, John is a leader with a record of delivering for Little Falls and all his constituents. I know he will continue his hard work as our next Congressman.”
“I am proud to endorse County Commissioner John Bartlett for Congress,” said Little Falls Democratic Committee Chairman Adam Zurbruegg. “He has worked with Congresswoman Sherrill on issues of concern to Little Falls, and is ready to step into her shoes and stand up for our Democratic values in Washington.”
“We know we can rely on John to respond quickly when we call,” said Councilwoman Christine Hablitz. “John is also one of the most committed campaigners I’ve ever run with, and a constant presence at local events.”
“John keeps winning elections because our constituents recognize his integrity and his genuine commitment to public service,” added Councilman Anthony Sgobba.
Commissioner Bartlett expressed gratitude for the endorsement.
“I’m honored to have the support of the Little Falls Democratic Committee Chairman and local officials who know me best,” Bartlett said. “What we’ve accomplished in Passaic County and Little Falls is a model for what can be done when leaders believe in public service over self-service — and it embodies the type of leadership I’ll bring to Congress.”
About John Bartlett
John Bartlett is running for Congress to put public service over self-service by making life more affordable for New Jersey families, and defending democracy from Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans. John has been fighting and winning these fights for years, beating Donald Trump and Republicans in court to protect vulnerable Americans and our right to vote. As a Passaic County Commissioner, John has a proven record protecting affordability: nine straight years of lowering the property tax rate and balancing budgets while improving services, building new parks and public schools, and bringing more than $960 million in federal transportation funding into the 11th District to grow our region’s economy and make commutes safer and easier. John learned a lifelong dedication to service from his father, a country pediatrician, and he is ready to bring this fight for our shared values to Washington.
A graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School who also studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Raoul Wallenberg Scholar, he lives in Wayne with his wife, Dr. Khyati Joshi, and their college-age son.
