Farm Action Fund Endorses Senator Cory Booker for Leading the Fight for Family Farmers 

Inaugural Endorsement Recognizes His Outstanding Advocacy on Agriculture 

Mexico, Missouri — Today, Farm Action Fund announced its endorsement of Senator Cory Booker for the primary and general election. Farm Action Fund’s endorsement is due to his demonstrated leadership in challenging corporate consolidation and strengthening independent producers and communities.

Farm Action Fund President Joe Maxwell said, “We are proud to give Senator Cory Booker our endorsement this cycle because he has been a real leader and champion in taking on corporate monopolies and fighting for our family farmers and the people of New Jersey. He’s fearlessly advocated for meaningful checkoff reform to ensure the fees farmers are mandated to pay don’t line the pockets of corporate commodity groups that lobby against independent farmers’ interests. He’s taken on the pesticide industry by introducing the Pesticide Injury Accountability Act to secure those who have been harmed by chemical companies the right to bring legal action. He has advocated for transformational change of our broken farm and food system, as farmers are driven out of business, chronic illnesses increase, and cancer rates rise.
