Governor Mikie Sherrill Endorses Slate for Essex County Commissioners

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Governor Mikie Sherrill today announced her endorsement of Christine McGrath, Abdur R. Yasin, Dr. Shawn Klein, and Wayne L. Richardson for Essex County Commissioner at Large in the upcoming June 2 Democratic Primary. Governor Sherrill also endorsed Wilson Pichardo, A’Dorian Murray-Thomas, Medinah Muhammad, Leonard M. Luciano, and Carlos M. Pomares for the Essex County Commissioner district seats.

“All of these candidates bring extensive experience across the private sector, labor, and public service, which I know will serve Essex residents well as we work together to drive down costs, invest in our kids and communities, and make government more responsive to our residents. Essex County has always been a leader when it comes to driving for excellence in government services, and these candidates, alongside Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo, will ensure a bright future for the county.”

Earlier this spring, Governor Sherrill endorsed Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo for reelection, citing his leadership and ongoing commitment to Essex County residents.
