Statement from NJ Assemblyman Jerry Walker On Governor Mikie Sherrill and Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell’s Swearing-In

“Today we celebrate the inauguration of Mikie Sherrill as the 57th Governor of the State of New Jersey and Dale Caldwell as Lieutenant Governor. I extend my sincere congratulations to both Governor Sherrill and Lieutenant Governor Caldwell as they assume leadership of our state. The people of New Jersey have entrusted them with enormous responsibility, and I look forward to partnering with their administration to deliver results for the residents of the 31st Legislative District.
“Governor Sherrill and Lieutenant Governor Caldwell bring a strong commitment to public service, to expanding economic opportunity, and to addressing the everyday challenges that families and small businesses face across our communities. Their emphasis on affordability, economic growth, and responsive government aligns with the priorities I hear from constituents in Bayonne, Kearny, Jersey City, and the surrounding communities we serve.
“As your Assemblyman, I am committed to active collaboration with the Governor and Lieutenant Governor’s office to advance policies that strengthen education, improve infrastructure, support public safety, and create more opportunity for working families. By working together across branches of government, we can ensure that the voices of the 31st District are heard and that the solutions we pursue are thoughtful, effective, and equitable.
“I look forward to building a constructive, results-oriented partnership with Governor Sherrill, and Lieutenant Governor Caldwell. Now is the time to focus on practical action and meaningful progress for our communities.
