WALL – Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Chief Executive Officer David Rible issued the following statement today regarding the Senate Judiciary Committee advancing the nomination of Priya Jain to serve as Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner:

“Congratulations to Acting Commissioner Jain and thank you to the Committee for moving on her nomination. We look forward to the quickly approaching day where Acting is officially removed from her title. The work of DOT never stops and having her commitment and dedication there is a huge comfort.

“This winter has shown just how critical transportation infrastructure is to New Jersey and the region. Now, more than ever, we must invest Transportation Trust Fund dollars into projects that enhance the safety and strength of our infrastructure. Our members stand ready, willing and able to work with Commissioner Jain and her dedicated team at DOT to make this happen.”
