While there’s no formal time table for continuing discussions, lawmakers will return tomorrow to resume talks.

One source said 11 a.ms.

But it was very fluid.

Two Democratic Party sources on the Speaker Prieto side of the fight said they heard a deal between Gov. Chris Christie and the speaker may be close. Democrats close to Senate President Sweeney and the governor shot that down and said a deal does not appear imminent.

All that was certain was that the board will remain on over night, with the vote totals frozen but unresolved.
