Assembly Majority Conference Leader Annette Quijano has named Jimmy Rivera as her new Chief of Staff. Rivera will oversee legislative policy and constituent services for the 20th Legislative District. The 20th Legislative District represents Elizabeth, Hillside, Roselle and Union. The district will include Kenilworth starting in the new legislature this coming January, while Hillside will move to an adjacent district.

“I’m happy to have Jimmy take on the role of Chief of Staff,” noted Assemblywoman Quijano. “He’s been an integral part of our team, first as a legislative aide and then as director of community relations. I look forward to the positive impact he will make for our district and the state as he takes on this new role.”

“Assemblywoman Quijano’s achievements as a member of the Assembly are numerous and have made a direct impact on all of our communities here in New Jersey. She is an amazing role-model, who is deeply committed to the well-being of her constituents. I’m excited to get to work as her next Chief of Staff to help her continue this important work,” stated Rivera.

Jimmy Rivera received his Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management from the Rutgers Business School and a Masters Degree in labor and employment relations from Rutgers University. He replaces former Quijano Chief of Staff Christian Duffy, who recently joined her 20th Legislative District running mate Senator Joseph Cryan (Union) as Chief of Staff.
