Ramos Announces Laura Miani as Council at-Large Candidate

Laura Miani will join Team Ramos as a candidate for Council at-Large, running alongside Councilman and Mayoral candidate Ruben Ramos. A proud Hoboken resident for over 30 years, Miani has deep ties to the community and a strong record of professional and civic engagement. She and her husband Rich raised their two children in Hoboken, both of whom attended grammar school in Hoboken. Her son is currently pursuing graduate studies and her daughter is a cadet in the US Air Force Academy. They have a 14 year old lab/mastiff named Ellie.
A former Wall Street professional and Executive Recruiter, Miani has also dedicated herself to nonprofit leadership. She served as a Trustee for Stevens Cooperative School for eight years and currently sits on the board of the Air Force Academy Parents' Association of New Jersey (AFAPANJ).
“I’ve known Ruben for many years, as a family man, a soccer coach, a mentor, and a dedicated public servant in both the New Jersey Assembly and Hoboken City Council,” said Miani. “He has the knowledge, experience, energy, and vision to lead Hoboken as our next Mayor. I’m excited to join his team to help deliver real results for our residents.”
A passionate advocate for public safety and quality of life issues, Miani is also a familiar face in Hoboken’s fitness and recreation community. She’s a GC Tri Club member who ran the Jersey City Half Marathon earlier this year, and she enjoys running along the waterfront, working out at the gym, playing pickleball, skiing, and scuba diving.
“I’m proud to welcome Laura Miani to Team Ramos,” said Ramos. “Her experience as a professional, parent, and engaged member of our community gives her a strong perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Hoboken. Laura’s commitment to public service and her love for this city make her a perfect fit for the City Council.”
Laura Miani joins Britta Ouano and Al Veloce as Council at-Large candidates on Team Ramos, forming a diverse and dynamic slate that is ready to bring Hoboken back to basics and put residents first.
