Rest in Peace, Bucky Pizzarelli: ‘I Like Jersey Best’

Jazz guitar legend John “Bucky” Pizzarelli and New Jersey Hall of Famer  died yesterday at the age of 94.

From Billboard:

The virtuoso who had played for presidents at the White House during his long and esteemed career died Wednesday (April 1) at his home in Saddle River, New Jersey.

Here is a classic recording of Mr. Pizzarelli and his son, the great John Pizzarellli, playing (what else?) “I Like Jersey Best.”

And let’s not forget Mr. Pizzarelli’s signature tune, “Honeysuckle Rose,” which he played at the close of every set for decades:
