Rice Fears Legislative Leadership ‘Gangbanging’ Governor Murphy

NJ Senator Ronald Rice supports Linden Mayor Derek Armstead's objection to NJ Senator Nick Scutari's use of funds from the campaign of Jerry Green, who died last year, to fund political activities. Jerry Green was the first black Union County Democratic Committee, and Rice argues that the money should be used to do something for Green.

METUCHEN – State Senator Ronald L. Rice (D-28) doesn’t deny that there are good things in that economic report presented last week by a group assembled by Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3).

But he questions the process, and he questions motive.

He also resists a key recommendation in the report, namely weakening government workers’ pensions and benefits plans.
