Over 200 supporters packed Rooney’s in Long Branch Thursday night in support of battleground senate candidate Vin Gopal.

Senators Teresa Ruiz of Newark and Sandra Cunningham of Jersey City headed south into the den of sister Senator Jen Beck to back Beck rival Gopal.

The all-women crowd rallied around Gopal in support of Women’s Equality Day with a focus on Beck’s votes on pay equity and women’s healthcare funding. Also in attendance was Planned Parenthood Executive Director Christine Sadovy.
