Rullo Rushes to Doherty’s Defense in Senator’s Syria Scrap with Rogers

Running for Governor of New Jersey in the Republican Primary, Joe Rullo agrees with rival Nutley Commissioner Steve Rogers on the use of U.S. military force against Syria, but chastised Rogers for the tone his nemesis took against state Senator Mike Doherty (R-23).

Doherty last night told InsiderNJ that he does not believe military force was appropriate.

“I stand by President Trump to stop the horrible gas and nerve agent use on infants in Syria and reduce migration with refugees & terrorist,’ Rullo tweeted last night.

Today, after reading this piece, he said,  “I believe Senator Doherty is quite impressive military background-wise. The condescending shots taken in the article are grandstanding to get attention in Sussex. Its uncalled for questioning the Senator’s knowledge.

“See, this is why Rogers can’t resonate,” Rullo added. “He thinks he is above everyone. The master of the universe. Although I support the action in Syria by Trump I believe future actions should be authorized by Congress. With Steve it’s all or none. The Senator understands the Constitution and his point was Congressional authorization.”

  1. My concern would also be congressional approval if we go tip war. That said, hopefully this is a one time hit and, the president might actually be well within his purview of law, to take such action as he did

  2. Now about Joe Rullo’s recent quote on Facebook >>> “See, this is why Rogers can’t resonate,” Rullo added. JOE 1% RULLO ain’t resonating either, nor is he raising any substantial money.
