With Scutari at His Side, Holley Hauls $50K

Fresh off a major political victory after supporting new Union County Democratic Chairman Senator Nicholas Scutari, Assemblyman Jamel Holley (D-20) held a well-attended fundraiser last night that attracted several high-profile elected officials.

Attendees included Chairman Scutari himself, as well as Assembly Minority Leader Lou Greenwald, Senator Ron Rice, Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker, Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage, Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss, Elizabeth Councilwoman Pat Perkins-Auguste, former Assemblyman John Wisniewski, Freeholders Sergio Granados, Alexander Mirabella and Angela Garretson, among several others.

Also in attendance was Jeron Green, the youngest son of Assemblyman and former Chairman Jerry Green who is continuing to recover from illness. The event raised approximately $50,000 for Holley’s re-election coffers, starting a new election cycle that will culminate in his own campaign for re-election in 2019 as well as that of local friend-turned-foe Roselle Mayor Christine Dansereau, who is also up for re-election next year.
