Senate Overwhelmingly Passes Vitale’s Sex Abuse Safe Haven Bill

The Senate Chamber burst into applause this afternoon after the governing body passed, by a vote of 32-1, state Senator Joe Vitale’s bill lifting the two-year statute of limitations of sex abuse cases.

Only state Senator Gerry Cardinale (R-39) opposed S477.

Earlier this week, Vitale told InsiderNJ the bill will go to the Assembly for full consideration by that governing body by the end of the month.

  1. Good to see. Considering what they put their victims through, it’s about time that criminal perverts started quaking in their boots.
