The Senate Select Committee on Economic Growth Strategies Meeting will hold its first meeting next Monday, July 29th at 10am.  The committee will take testimony from invited guests concerning the
GROW NJ program and the Economic Redevelopment and Growth Grant program.

Chaired by Senator Bob Smith (D-17), the committee was formed in response to the NJEDA tax incentive controversy (and subsequent establishment of Governor Murphy’s task force).

The first meeting was originally scheduled to be held at the end of last month, but Senate President Sweeney postponed it until ‘the general business of the legislature has concluded and the committee members are able to devote, entirely, their attention to the task of the committee’.

With the budget now done, the committee will move forward on Monday with its first hearing.
