NEWARK - Asked by InsiderNJ to name a value of the candidacy of U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, state Senator Renee Burgess (D-28) replied:

As in family values.

The senator from Irvington, who represents the 28th District, which includes part of Newark, today attended a firefighters' endorsement rally for Sherrill.

She also mentioned connecting with Sherrill's message about protecting New Jerseyans' access to quality healthcare.
