Ewing Councilwoman Sarah Steward, the former deputy chief of staff to former U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-12), was said to be “certainly interested” and “weighing her options” in the vicinity of an LD15 Assembly seat, a source told InsiderNJ this morning.

Politico reported the likely departure of Assemblywoman Liz Muoio (D-15 to serve as the treasurer in a Murphy Administration.

Steward is said to be curious about the seat.

A talented wonk who in 2013 grabbed a vacant council seat in her hometown of Ewing and won a four-year term in 2014, she now serves as council president of the Ewing governing body.
