Source: Toto Looks like an Assembly Candidate Heading into 2019

Somers Point Republican Councilman James Toto, who this year competed unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 2nd District, looks to be gearing up for an Assembly run next year.

Toto earlier this year pulled the plug on his own bid for Congress at the Atlantic County Republican Convention, throwing his support behind establishment choice engineer Hirsh Singh, who would go on to lose the Republican Primary to movement conservative attorney Seth Grossman.

Now he looks to be preparing to take on the Democrats in 2019.

The incumbents in the district in question are Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo (D-2) and Assemblyman John Armato (D-2).
