Former Hackensack Mayor Jack Zisa will run against Bergen County Republican Organization Chairman Paul DiGaetano for control of the embattled outfit.

DiGaetano wrested the chairmanship away from longtime leader Bob Yudin in 2016, then turned around in 2017 and fumbled his own bid for a senate seat in LD40, a move that particularly rankled those rank nd file Republicans still loyal to Yudin.

But DiGaetano wasn’t the only loser at the ballot box last year.

The Zisa Family attempted to regain power in Hackensack only to fall short.

Now the former mayor has his sights set on rebuilding the foundation of an operation all but dynamited during the second term of departing Governor Chris Christie.
