Sources: Bergen Executive Tedesco to Run for Reelection

Sources expect Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco to take another crack at running the sprawling North Jersey county, with an announcement following today's election.
Tedesco is currently serving his third term as Bergen County Executive – only the second person in the history of county government to be elected to the role three times.
According to the county's website:
"Since taking office in 2015, County Executive Tedesco has focused on improving quality of life and services for county residents while also creating greater efficiency throughout county government. Under his leadership, Tedesco’s administration restored $6.5 million in education funding and has continued to expand the County’s investments in education initiatives at Bergen Community College and the County’s Technical and Special Services School Districts ten years in a row. He has also spearheaded initiatives to expand shared services, revitalized the 4th largest public hospital in the nation – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, and increased services and support for U.S. military veterans and their families. Under his leadership, the County of Bergen was recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as the first county in New Jersey to end homelessness among veterans."
