Sources: Currie Takes Aim at Another Term as Democratic State Party Chair

ATLANTIC CITY – Re-upped in June through the end of the year, Democratic State Party Chairman John Currie will run for another term as head of his party in New Jersey come 2018.

Currie will run for a third two-year term on a ticket with Vice Chair Lizette Delgado Polanco.

“He has [Phil] Murphy’s support and if he wants another term, it’s his,” a source told InsiderNJ.

He wants it, another source said.

Currie and Delgado Polanco first became chair and vice chair of the party respectively in 2013.
