Sources: Lods Could be in the Mix for a Vacant LD1 Senate Seat

Victoria Lods of Vineland, once the chief of staff to former Senator Nick Asselta, could emerge as a Republican candidate for Senator Jeff Van Drew’s (D-1) seat in the event Van Drew wins the 2nd Congressional District seat later this year, sources say.

A former Cumberland County Freeholder candidate, Lods, a mother of two, works as a teacher at Bridgeton High School. She also has a family footprint in Cape May, where her father is a known quantity in the hotel business.

She would also have the support of Asselta.
