Sources: Bergen’s Brundage has an Edge in GOP Bid for Sheriff’s Office

The Bergen County GOP is apparently going with Alan Brundage as the organization’s candidate for Bergen County Sheriff.

At least he has an edge, sources say.

Brundage was a Paramus councilman and is a retired county police captain.

There was considerable buzz tonight around Brundage.

But Bergen County GOP Chairman Jack Zisa said Brundage was not a done deal for the organization nod.

“We are without question looking at Alan,” said the county Republican chairman. “There has been no decision at this time.”
