Stack Wants June 12th Convention to be Held in Jersey City

Amid diner booth chatter about the citing of the Hudson County Democratic Organization's (HCDO) reorganization meeting, state Senator Brian P. Stack (D-32) – opposed to a West Hudson locale – issued a statement of his own preference.

“I am calling on the current HCDO leadership to commit to hosting the meeting in Jersey City, which of course, is both our County Seat and centrally located in the County, encouraging attendance and participation by Committee Members,” said Stack. “It is shameful that the bosses have even considered hosting this meeting at a location that discourages participation. However, I am not surprised, as all of the boss’ decisions are made with minimal input so they can continue to make the system work solely for themselves.  This is yet another reason that we need change in the Party.”

Craig Guy, chief of staff to Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, said the June 12th reorganization meeting is scheduled to take place at Kearny High School.

“It’s a disgrace that once again Fulop and Stack are disparaging others in the county,” Guy said.
