State Senate Confirms UTCA's Rible for TTF Authority

The New Jersey State Senate today confirmed Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Executive Director David Rible as a board member of the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority. Rible will replace current UTCA Chief Executive Officer Robert Briant, Jr., for the remainer of the term, which expires on December 4, 2028.
“It is a great honor not only to serve on the Authority but to follow in the footsteps of someone who has fought longer and harder than anyone for safe, quality and properly funded transportation infrastructure in New Jersey,” said Rible. “Bobby Briant leaves big shoes to fill but I am looking forward to getting started and continuing both his and the Authority’s legacy of great work.”
A resident of Wall, Rible currently serves as UTCA’s Executive Director and has been with the organization since 2019. Prior to joining UTCA, he was the Director of the New Jersey Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (ABC) and served in the New Jersey Assembly from 2008 until 2017. He is also a former Wall Township police officer and detective.
While in the Legislature, Rible was the prime sponsor of legislation that reauthorized the state’s Transportation Trust Fund, which pays for critical transportation infrastructure projects.
The New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority is an independent agency of state government whose sole purpose is to finance the annual capital program of the New Jersey Department of Transportation and NJ Transit. The Authority consists of the Commissioner of Transportation and the State Treasurer as ex-officio members and five public members appointed by the Governor.
