Steinhardt to Booker: The People will Decide on Trump’s Performance

NJ Republican Party Chairman Doug Steinhardt

In response to U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s (D-NJ ) call for President Donald J. Trump to resign, New Jersey Republican Committee Chairman Doug Steinhardt said the people – not Booker – should decide.

“The ultimate arbiter of the President’s performance is the same as the arbiter of Senator Booker’s performance, or mine when I was a mayor,” Steinhardt told InsiderNJ.

“I didn’t hear the senator’s comments today, and I’m not going to be equally opportunistic, but the ultimate arbiter in politics – as in the corporate boardroom – is the will of the voters,” he said. “The voters will decide on the President’s performance. I appreciate the senator’s right to stand on his soapbox, but at the end of the day it’s just his soapbox.”

  1. Judging by the election results in Alabama yesterday, the people have already begun deciding on the President’s performance.

  2. Another less than 35% statewide turnout (NJ and AL.) The real losers here are the American people who have given up on politics because of the vitriol and lies from both sides. Government taxation and oppression, with no hope for change, have created a disillusioned and detached electorate who has given up – just what the elite political establishment wanted.
