Steinhardt Wants Answers After Guv’s Office COVID Outbreak

Steinhardt

After news that Governor Murphy was exposed to Covid and will quarantine, and multiple members of his senior staff have tested positive for COVID, NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released the following statement:

“First and foremost, the NJGOP wishes Governor Murphy good health and hopes that he has not contracted the coronavirus. We also send well wishes to those staff members who tested positive.

Governor Murphy is the elected head of our State. As such, it is imperative that he provides the public with the full details of his exposure.

  • What was the specific timeline that led to the Governor abruptly leaving the stage at today’s event?
  • If the Governor or his staff knew before the event that one or more of their colleagues was undergoing a test for Covid-19, and went to today’s event anyway, how is that different from what Governor Murphy criticized President Trump for?
  • Was the Governor’s exposure inside or outside? Were he and his staff masked or unmasked?
  • Is the Governor going to share the results on contract tracing efforts?
As cases spike in New Jersey, Governor Murphy hasn’t detailed any plans for containing the virus. He has constantly chided our citizens for being careless, and now that he’s been exposed, owes it to New Jersey to be more open and honest about his exposure as he’s been about his response to the pandemic.”

  1. That’s all you got? How embarrassing. The GOP has plenty of issues that could be used to beat Phony Phil, but they do not have a candidate. Jon “Henny” Bramnick is a non-starter. Ciattarelli – no one can pronounce his name and doesn’t support the Pres. Steinhardt – no base, has displayed no leadership as Chair, been invisible this campaign season and issues trite releases.
