President Donald J. Trump’s tweet of thanks yesterday to U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2) in response to the South Jersey Democrat’s opposition to an impeachment inquiry, prompted a response from Mike Testa, the Republican attorney running against Van Drew’s ally, incumbent state Senator Robert Andrzejczak (D-1).

“Van Drew knows his base and knows that the liberal policies of Nancy Pelosi and Phil Murphy do not represent South Jersey,” Testa said. “The matter of fact is, while Jeff Van Drew has been in Congress – Sgt. Bob Andrzejack has voted with Governor Murphy 95 percent of the time. Bob Andrzejack is no Jeff Van Drew.

“Why won’t Bob Andrzejczak say the same? He refused to condemn the impeachment when I challenged him to.  The reality is that Andrzejczak votes 95% of the time with Phil Murphy. He’s too busy sucking up to his liberal base to stand with the President.”
