The road to elected office in NJ runs through…Miami?…the Ducey Factor

While the Garden State endures a nuisance of a snowstorm, The University of Miami, and its palm tree lined campus, seems like a world away.

Not so when you consider that University of Miami Law School Alum and Brick Township Mayor John Ducey – a safe bet for reelection this year – hosted a successful fundraiser last night at the River Rock Restaurant in Brick.  Notables in attendance were hopefuls John Wisniewski, Bob Torricelli and Vin Gopal.

Ducey is known for his reserved and affable demeanor, as he presides over the town of roughly 75,000 residents.  Those aspiring for elective office remain aware of his rock star poll numbers and growing influence, making office-seekers all too happy to travel up or down the Parkway to kibitz with the Mayor on a Thursday in March.
