Vainieri Huttle Slate Announces Campaign Co-Chairs

Valerie Vainieri Huttle’s campaign announced the slate’s co-chairs today:

Following last week’s announcement that Valerie Vainieri Huttle will be running for State Senate in the June primary alongside Councilwomen Gervonn Romney Rice and Lauren Kohn Dayton, the candidates announced a slate of co-chairs across District 37. The campaign’s co-chairs represent a diverse coalition of elected officials, community leaders and local activists that show the strength of Valerie, Gervonn and Lauren’s campaign.

“I am proud to have assembled a winning team and coalition of support that will help get us to victory on June 8th.” said Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle “This campaign is about building grassroots momentum to ensure that the voices of District 37’s voters are heard. Together with Gervonn and Lauren, I am ready to continue to fight for the progressive values of District 37.”

“From Teaneck to Fort Lee, our campaign is ready to compete and win in an open and direct primary.” said Teaneck Councilwoman Gervonn Romney Rice “I am honored to have the backing and support of a diverse coalition of community leaders who will help to get our message out to the voters of the 37th Legislative District.”

This coalition of co-chairs will be tremendous assets on the ground as Valerie, Gervonn and Lauren build grassroots support for their candidacies.

Co-chairs include Leonia Mayor Judah Zeigler, Tenafly Councilman Jeffrey Grossman, former Teaneck Mayor, Jacqueline Kates, former Englewood Cliffs Councilwoman Roberta Stern, founder of Garden State Equality, Steven Goldstein, community organizer Estina Baker and Bergen in Color founder Tevra Francis.
