Vertreese Wins Reelection in Hillside

Hillside NJ Mayor Dahlia Vertreese lost her committee seat to Marjorie Hargrave, a candidate championed by local Democratic Party Chair Anthony Salters.

Incumbent Mayor Dahlia Vertreese has prevailed in Hillside, enough to avoid a runoff.

The mayor’s council-at large candidates lead by 800 votes – short of avoiding a runoff election.

The runoff is scheduled for Dec. 7h.

In her pursuit of a second term as mayor, Vertreese defeated Councilwoman Nancy Mondella.
