VIDEO: Bracken Welcomes New Approach by Sherrill to NJ Biz Community

FLEMINGTON - Thomas A. Bracken, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s president and CEO, at a business round table this morning praised Governor Mikie Sherrill for overseeing her administration's early outreach to the New Jersey business community.

"We need to grow our economy - that's priority number one," Bracken told the Governor during her visit to Advanced Solar Products. "Over the last bunch of years the business community has been overtaxed, overregulated, and taken for granted.  We've not been heard.

"You made an offer up front about being heard - and that's wonderful, because we've been ignored," Bracken added. "You can't get things done unless you can have refreshing dialogue about the issues."

Bracken described a deplorable business climate in New Jersey.

"It's a big deal that you are starting an outreach that has not been done in my memory," the chamber prez said. "Business 101 is 'take care of your customers. You're starting today with outreach that will electrify [the state's business community]."
