In the Wake of Squirrel Hill, Republican Leader Bramnick Implores President Trump to Sit Down with His Political Enemies

TRENTON – Speaking Monday on the floor of the Assembly in the aftermath of the Pittsburgh killings, Minority Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) challenged President Donald J. Trump to reach out to his toughest critics in a sign of real leadership.

“I call upon the president of the United States to bring in CNN and Maxine Waters,” said Bramnick.

If Trump could sit down with the leader of North Korea he can sit down with the California congresswoman, he added.

“It’s time to end the rhetoric,” said the Republican, long a champion of greater civility in the public sphere. “There are fragile people out there who misinterpret.”

In his speech, Bramnick also called on Governor Phil Murphy to sit down with the most conservative members of the legislature.

  1. Bramnick is delusional, Maxine Waters is a racist Trump hating bigot who can’t be reasoned with. What’s next with Bramnick, Kushner to sit down with Farrakhan?
