Weinberg Seeks Enactment of Sexual Assault Reforms in Non-Disclosure Bill

Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-37), co-chair of the New Jersey Legislative Select Oversight Commitee, issued the attached open letter to the 67 women who spoke out in support of legislative hearings, urging them to join her in advocating for her legislation that would prevent the use on non-disclosure agreements in cases of sexual assaults and harassment.

The non-disclosure bill, S-121, gained the overwhelming support of the Senate and Assembly and is now on the Governor’s desk.

Weinberg is calling on the women who previously challenged the Legislative Oversight Committee to avoid “political machinations” in pursuit of substantive reforms to join her in urging the Governor to sign the NDA legislation into law.
