Zimmerman Formally Announces LD16 Candidacy

Republican Ed Zimmerman, former mayor of Rocky Hill, this week made official his designs on pursuing an assembly seat in LD16.

“Having served as a Mayor, Councilman, member of the Planning/Zoning Board, Governors Appointee to the NJ Council on Local Mandates, Emergency Management Coordinator and Executive Director of both the Somerset and Warren County Governing Officials Associations, Board of Trustees for Somerset Treatment Services and President of the Board of the Somerset County Library Foundation, I am prepared to tackle the difficult issues our State faces with REAL hands on experience,” Zimmerman wrote on Facebook.

He’s going for one of two seats now occupied by Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D-16) and Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-16).

“This is going to be an exciting, and expensive, journey,” wrote Zimmerman. “I truly hope I can earn your support.”
