Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) bashed Governor Phil Murphy’s proposed 2019 budget, reaching back to Governor Jim Florio’s single term as governor for a reference.
“I’ve seen this movie before,” Bramnick told reporters. “Now we have Florio Two, the Sequel.”
The Republican leader said the legislature capped municipal spending at 2 percent, and now – with Murphy in charge – wants to raise “spending by eight percent.”
“I travel around the country and tell people, ‘I’m from New Jersey,’ they tell me, ‘I was too,'” Bramnick dead-panned.
