PATERSON -Veteran At-Large Councilwoman Maritza Davila this morning told InsiderNJ she intends to pursue reelection next year in the City of Paterson.

The election is scheduled for May, 2026.

“I’ve been given the opportunity by the constituency to serve for three years and I’m going for a 4th”," said the councilwoman.

In an interview with InsiderNJ, Davila, who has a long history of political organizing and campaigning in her hometown here, also addressed issues pertaining to the more immediate election, namely the governor's race.

"Our constituents need to know you're not just going to be here at campaign time, but after the election," said the councilwoman, appearing with the National Auto Body Council (NABC), GEICO, and Dynasty Auto Body to present four refurbished vehicles to New Jersey veterans through the NABC Recycled Rides program.
