Donohue will Serve as Acting ED at ELEC

Jeff Brindle, Executive Director of the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission, argues that despite Americans holding a long and deep skepticism toward political parties, ironically it could be the parties that restore stability to our polarized political environment.

Thomas Prol, Chairman of the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC), has
announced that the Commission has named Deputy Director Joe Donohue as Acting Executive Director.

Prol made the announcement after conferring with fellow members. The action will be formalized at its November 21, 2023 monthly meeting.

Donohue will serve in an acting capacity while the Commission conducts a search for a new Executive Director. He was hired as Deputy Director in November 2009.

The action was prompted by the retirement this week of Jeffrey Brindle as ELEC’s long-time Executive Director.
