ELEC: Big Six Committees Report Healthy Fundraising

Campaign finance reports filed for the first nine months of 2025 by the so-called “Big Six” fundraising committees- the two state parties and four legislative leadership committees- show fundraising numbers running ahead of most other election years since 2013, according to the Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).
The committees collectively reported raising $9.3 million through September 30.
The fundraising total is 11 percent more than the inflation-adjusted average for state elections since 2013 and 52 percent above a similar average for all election years during the same period.

With Tuesday’s election deciding the offices of governor, all 80 State Assembly seats and a State Senate seat, Democrats have a financial edge in fundraising, spending and cash reserves.

State parties and legislative leadership committees are required to report their financial activity to the Commission on a quarterly basis. The reports are available on ELEC’s website at www.elec.nj.gov.
