Gloucester County Reports 14 New COVID-19 Cases; Total 56 as of Saturday Morning

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 14 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County on Saturday morning, March 28th.  The county announced its first fatality on Friday.

This brings Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 cases to 56.

The 43rd case is a 45-year-old male from Clayton.

The 44th case is a 64-year-old male from Deptford.

The 45th case is a 12-year-old male from Monroe Township.

The 46th case is a 76-year-old female from Franklin Township.

The 47th case is a 47-year-old female from Greenwich Township.

The 48th case is a 26-year-old female from Deptford

The 49th case is a 28-year-old female from Woodbury.

The 50th case is a 50-year-old female from Deptford.

The 51st case is a 28-year-old male from Deptford Township.

The 52nd case is a 36-year-old female from Woodbury Heights.

The 53rd case is a 20-year-old female from Washington Township.

The 54th case is a 21-year-old male from Glassboro.

The 55th case is a 52-year-old male from East Greenwich.

The 56th case is a 34-year-old female from Logan Township.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
