As Jeff Van Drew prepares to speak at the Republican National Convention tonight, the Amy Kennedy for Congress campaign launched a new online ad outlining the real reason Van Drew switched parties and explaining the devastating consequences for the  people of South Jersey.

The ad tells the story of Jeff Van Drew’s transformation into “another politician who cares more about serving himself than the people he was elected to represent.”   The ad breaks down the transformation into three steps:

1. Step One: Jeff Van Drew switches parties to stay in power and declares “you have my undying support… always” to Donald Trump

2. Step Two: Jeff Van Drew works for himself and not for South Jersey

3. Step Three: Van Drew gets a spot on the national stage

Finally, the ad says, “and the voters of South Jersey got…” an economic and health crisis with no plan for how to recover.  “Jeff Van Drew has stopped doing his job.  It’s time to say…. You’re fired!”
