In Paterson, No Time for Endzone Dances

Paterson Third Ward Councilman Bill McKoy shrugged off the preliminary tallies (above) floating around ahead of a May 19th vote-count resumption in Passiac County. Totals of 964 votes show him down to challenger Alex Mendez, but those votes represent but a third of the roughly 3,000 votes cast in his ward. “I suspect these numbers will change drastically,” McKoy told InsiderNJ. “Those numbers are without context.” Context in this case is a word that in and of itself requires context, against the backdrop of an ongoing investigation into allegations of citywide voter fraud. Passaic Board of Elections Commission Chairman John Currie said 15K votes remain to be tallied in Paterson, and a total of 17K including results from Passaic and Totowa. labor intensive at least.
