Union County Freeholder Estrada Retiring

Union County Freeholder Vice Chairman Angel G. Estrada, who became the first Latino elected to the board in 1999, is retiring from office Sept. 1, according to My Central Jersey.com.

Estrada’s term was scheduled to end Dec. 31 and no reason was given for his departure. No replacement has been chosen and his slot will remain unfilled until January, according to a county spokesman.
