Latina Civic PAC Announces 2026 General Election Endorsements

Latina Civic Political Action Committee (“Latina Civic PAC”), New Jersey's leading statewide Latina political organization dedicated to increasing Latina representation in government and politics, proudly announces its endorsements of five accomplished Latina leaders seeking elected office in the 2026 General Election.

The PAC's endorsed candidates are:

  • Congresswoman Nellie Pou
  • Congresswoman Analilia Mejia
  • Passaic County Surrogate Judge Hon. Zoila Casanova
  • Hudson County Commissioner Yraida Aponte-Lipski
  • Iris Reyes, Clifton City Council

“Latina Civic PAC remains committed to supporting Latina candidates at every level of government and ensuring that our communities have a voice in the decisions that impact their lives,” stated Noemi Velazquez, chair of Latina Civic PAC’s Endorsements Committee. “These endorsements reflect our ongoing mission to increase Latina representation in elected office and encourage more women to pursue opportunities for public service and leadership throughout New Jersey."

With Latinas continuing to be underrepresented in elected office, Latina Civic PAC remains committed to building a strong pipeline of qualified women who are prepared to lead, from municipal and county government to the halls of Congress.

“Our mission has always been about more than any one single election,” said Laura Matos, President of Latina Civic PAC. “It's about opening doors, building political power, and ensuring that Latinas have a seat at every table where decisions are being made. Representation matters, not only because our government should reflect the diversity of the people it serves, but because Latina leaders bring invaluable perspectives, experiences, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing our communities. By supporting these five women, we are continuing to build a stronger, more inclusive future for New Jersey.”

Latina Civic PAC encourages voters across New Jersey to support these endorsed candidates in the November 3 General Election and to recognize the critical importance of electing women who will champion opportunity, equity, and the needs of working families.
