Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp tapped veteran New Jersey political strategist Amiri “Middy” Baraka, Jr. to serve as Campaign Manager for his 12th District congressional bid, "signaling new momentum for the campaign as the Democratic primary continues to take shape."

As head of Bottom Up Consulting, Middy has earned a reputation for strong grassroots organizing, voter turnout operations and he is widely regarded as one of the state’s most effective campaign managers. He will oversee strategy, field and voter mobilization as the campaign builds support across the district.
