BLOOMFIELD - East Orange Mayor Ted Green threw himself into this campaign cycle for the Democratic ticket.

InsiderNJ saw him in the streets of this Essex County town today, where he was working to get the vote out for Mikie Sherrill.

"We were [also] out yesterday canvassing," he said. "We have a record number of early voters in East Orange. Even some of my friends who never vote, they're out there early. They know how important this is.

"Tomorrow is going to be another extraordinary day," the mayor added.

Tonight, Democrats had a vote-by-mail advantage of 290K over the GOP.
