11th Congressional District Legislators Statement on the Sherrill-Murphy Tax Hikes

Joint statement from New Jersey legislators:

“When Governor Murphy was elected last year, one thing was clear- a huge tax hike was coming. We’ve watched with dismay as Democrats rough out the edges of one of the biggest tax hikes in New Jersey history. Now, Mikie Sherrill is campaigning for office with Governor Murphy, accepting his help on the campaign trail, and running under his party’s banner.

Governor Murphy is proposing $1.5 Billion dollars in new taxes for New Jersey families and small businesses, and we stand firmly opposed. Mikie Sherrill’s silence on this issue has made clear that if she were in our shoes, she would be voting yes on Murphy’s $1.5 Billion dollar tax hike on hard working tax payers.”
