32BJ SEIU’s New Jersey District Endorses Two Newark Council Candidates in Run-Off Elections

The following statement is attributable to Kevin Brown, Vice President and New Jersey State Director of 32BJ SEIU:

We continue to support Councilwoman LaMonica McIver for the Central Ward and Councilman Joe McCullum for the West Ward during the run-off elections on June 12.  McIver and McCullum have championed progressive legislation and together with Mayor Baraka have lifted working families and all Newark residents. If elected, we are confident they will ensure that Newark will continue to be a fair and welcoming city for everyone.”
